Empowering young people to
shape the future of AI

A global education initiative supporting young people aged 13–19 to engage with artificial intelligence thoughtfully and responsibly.

Who we are

Why Teens in AI exists

Artificial intelligence is shaping decisions across education, work, healthcare, and society. Yet young people, who will live longest with its consequences, are often excluded from understanding how these technologies work or from shaping how they are used.

When AI is experienced only as something to consume, young people lose the opportunity to question it, challenge it, and apply it responsibly. Unequal access to technology education further deepens existing social and economic divides.

Teens in AI exists to change this. We equip young people with the skills, confidence, and ethical grounding to engage with AI as informed participants and responsible creators, not just future users.

Years Delivering Impact

What we do

Teens in AI delivers a connected set of programmes that introduce young people to artificial intelligence in practical, responsible, and inclusive ways.

AI foundations for young people

Hands-on learning that introduces core AI concepts in an accessible way, building confidence and understanding regardless of prior experience.

Ethics and responsible innovation

Practical exploration of bias, fairness, sustainability, and societal impact, helping young people think critically about how technology affects people and communities.

Global challenges and hackathons

Collaborative, real-world challenges where participants apply their learning to issues such as climate action, health, and social inclusion.

Teacher and school support

Curriculum-aligned resources and professional development that enable educators to deliver high-quality AI learning with confidence.

How impact happens

Our programmes are designed to support sustained learning, not one-off exposure.

Young people typically begin by building foundational understanding and confidence. As they progress, they move into applied projects, teamwork, and real-world problem solving. Many go on to take leadership roles, presenting ideas, mentoring peers, and engaging with external stakeholders.

This progression is supported by clear learning frameworks, experienced facilitators, and an emphasis on reflection, responsibility, and ethical decision-making.

“Teens in AI showed me that technology isn’t just something you use. It’s something you can question, improve, and use to help others.” — Student participant

Who we work with

Teens in AI works in partnership with organisations that share a commitment to inclusive, responsible AI literacy.

We collaborate with schools and educators to integrate AI learning into the classroom, support governments and public bodies exploring digital skills strategies, and work with industry partners to expose young people to real-world applications of technology.

Our partnerships are built on long-term collaboration rather than one-off activity, ensuring programmes are relevant, credible, and grounded in real educational needs.
