London, UK – 18 March 2026 Teens in AI, a UK-based global social impact initiative dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators in AI and emerging technologies through collaborative, hands-on learning experiences, is excited to announce the launch of a new Prompt Engineering course developed in collaboration with Sage, a Teens in AI Platinum Partner, and a global leader in accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses.

As part of this partnership, Sage, powered by Sage Foundation, is developing a series of AI Adventures courses tailored to teens aged 13 to 19, providing them with essential AI and digital skills. The latest course in the series, ‘Get Career Ready with Prompt Engineering’, is designed for 16-18-year-olds interested in developing their AI prompting skills.

Our AI Adventures courses are designed to nurture a generation of informed and responsible digital citizens.

By exploring the principles of prompt engineering and how to communicate effectively with AI systems, this course empowers young people to understand how large language models work and how to use them responsibly and effectively. Alongside core AI literacy, the course focuses on practical career skills, showing teens how to use generative AI to support CV writing, LinkedIn optimisation, personal branding, interview preparation, and productivity. Whether they are new to the field or looking to deepen their understanding, our courses provide the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate and apply generative AI technologies with confidence and clarity.

Aaron Harris, Chief Technology Officer at Sage, comments: At Sage, we’re committed to helping the next generation build the skills they’ll need in a world where AI is becoming part of everyday work. By partnering with Teens in AI, we’re delivering practical prompt engineering training and giving young people exposure to the real opportunities technology creates. These courses focus on the fundamentals – how AI systems respond to instruction, how to use them effectively, and how to apply them responsibly – so learners develop the judgement and capability to use these tools with confidence.

Sage’s Principal Machine Learning Scientist, Behnaz Abdollahi, is delivering this course. Dr Behnaz Abdollahi holds a PhD in Computer Engineering, specialising in developing machine learning techniques for medical image analysis. Her AI work spans the medical, power and accounting sectors. Behnaz is always eager to explore new applications and implement optimal AI solutions tailored to different industries.

Teens in AI Founder and CEO, Elena Sinel, adds: “Prompt engineering is rapidly becoming an essential skill in an AI-driven world. It is vital that young people understand not only how to use AI tools, but how to use them effectively and responsibly. Through our partnership with Sage, we are providing teens with practical, real-world skills that will enable them to shape AI outputs with clarity and purpose, preparing them for future study and careers in technology.

‘Get Career Ready with Prompt Engineering’ course outline:

Teens will learn how to communicate effectively with AI systems by understanding what prompts are and how large language models interpret instructions. They will explore how to write clear, structured and well-defined prompts to achieve accurate and useful results. The course covers core principles such as specificity, role-setting, constraints and iteration, enabling learners to refine outputs for a range of tasks. Learners will also explore career-focused prompting methods through guided activities and challenges, applying prompt engineering to build a job-ready CV, craft a personal brand statement, strengthen a LinkedIn profile, and practise interview questions with AI. It offers interactive exercises, challenges and quizzes. It is 2+ hours in duration and delivered 100% online and self-paced for completion over the course of a week.
