Teens in AI has a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and is committed to conducting its activities with integrity, transparency and accountability. This policy has been developed with regard to the UK Bribery Act 2010 and the principles set out in Ministry of Justice guidance on procedures organisations can use to prevent bribery.
This policy applies to staff, contractors, consultants and anyone acting on behalf of Teens in AI.
3.1 We do not offer, give, request or accept bribes, in any form.
3.2 Decisions about contracts, grants, sponsorship or partnerships must never be improperly influenced.
3.3 Third parties must not be used to do anything on our behalf that we would not do directly.
3.4 Payments, gifts and transactions must be recorded accurately and transparently.
No person acting for or on behalf of Teens in AI may:
The Bribery Act covers giving and receiving bribes, bribery of foreign public officials and, for relevant commercial organisations, failure to prevent bribery by associated persons.
Reasonable and proportionate gifts or hospitality may be accepted or provided where they:
Cash gifts or cash equivalents must not be offered or accepted. Any gift or hospitality that could reasonably raise a concern should be referred to the Founder & CEO before acceptance.
Charitable donations, sponsorships and partnership payments must be genuine, appropriately authorised and must never be used as a means of obtaining an improper business advantage.
Teens in AI will take proportionate steps to assess bribery and corruption risks when appointing significant suppliers, contractors, agents or partners. Third parties must not be used to undertake conduct that Teens in AI would not undertake directly.
Actual or potential conflicts of interest that could affect business decisions should be disclosed to the appropriate member of the leadership team.
Any suspected bribery, corruption or breach of this policy should be reported promptly to the Founder & CEO or another appropriate member of the leadership team.
Concerns will be investigated and, where appropriate:
No individual should suffer adverse treatment for raising a genuine concern in good faith.
Payments, expenditure, gifts, contracts and other relevant transactions must be recorded accurately and transparently.
11.1 Concerns raised under this policy are logged and reviewed.
11.2 This policy will be reviewed at least annually and following any significant incident or relevant change in requirements.
