Teens in AI is proud to celebrate our Non-Executive Director, Victoria Sinel, who was named “Woman of the Year – Tech & Consulting” at the Women in Tech Excellence Awards on 27 November 2025.
Victoria’s achievement recognises her remarkable journey in the technology sector. Beginning her career as an apprentice only four years ago, with no technical background, she has risen to become a respected leader at IBM and an influential voice championing equity and inclusion across the industry.
In her reflections on the award, Victoria shared how grateful she is to those who have supported her development, including her colleagues at IBM and the Teens in AI team. She emphasised the importance of creating accessible pathways for young people, something that aligns closely with our mission.
Victoria also acknowledged her fellow IBM finalists, noting the privilege of being recognised alongside so many talented women.
Her dedication to her clients, her community involvement, and her commitment to widening participation in technology shine through in everything she does, including her work for Teens in AI. Her recognition at the Women in Tech Excellence Awards highlights the impact of her work and the example she sets for young people exploring careers in technology.
Teens in AI congratulates Victoria on this well-deserved achievement. We are proud to have her expertise and leadership guiding our work to make technology more inclusive for all.
More about the Women in Tech Excellence Awards
The tech workforce has become a little more diverse in recent years, but the gender ratio is proving stubbornly difficult to disrupt. Women are entering tech in slightly larger numbers than they were, but they’re often paid less than their male colleagues and are more likely to quit the industry. These awards recognise, celebrate and showcase trail blazing women from across the technology space and provide inspiration for younger women curious about building a career in our industry.
