London, UK – 24 September 2025 – Teens in AI, an initiative committed to empowering the next generation to explore a future in technology and artificial intelligence, is excited to announce the second in its groundbreaking series of Cyber Security courses developed in collaboration with Sage, a Teens in AI Platinum Partner, and a global leader in accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses. The partnership is delivered in collaboration with Sage Foundation, its social impact arm.
As part of this partnership, Sage is creating a series of AI Adventures courses – Teens in AI’s online, self-paced courses – for teens aged 11 to 19, equipping them with vital cyber security skills. The second course in the series, ‘Cyber Defence: Threat Detection to Response’ launches on Monday, 6 October 2025. It builds on the success of the first beginner-level course, ‘Understanding Cyber Security’.
Our AI Adventures courses nurture informed and responsible digital citizens by exploring the intersection of AI and cyber security. Teens are empowered to understand and respond to online risks, gaining the knowledge and tools to protect their digital environments and contribute to a safer online world. Whether they are new to the field or looking to deepen their understanding, our courses provide the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate and secure the digital landscape.
Aaron Harris, Chief Technology Officer at Sage, comments: “Young people are growing up in a world where cyber security is no longer optional. With AI now a part of our daily lives, understanding how to stay safe online and protect digital spaces is more important than ever. Our partnership with Teens in AI is about empowering teens with practical skills that protect them today and prepare them for the careers of tomorrow. This new course is about helping them think critically, apply what they learn, and step into an AI-powered future with confidence.“
The course has been developed by two Sage experts: Billy Chambers, a Cyber Security Engineer, focuses on managing Sage’s key cyber response tools and building automated solutions to improve security efficiency; and Jade Hill, Global Security expert in Offensive Security, Cyber Defence Operations, and Security Labs, brings expertise in ethical hacking, web application testing, and cloud security, applying her offensive security knowledge to defend Sage’s systems, colleagues, and clients. Together, they draw on their combined experience to create an engaging and practical course that equips teens with the skills to step confidently into the world of cyber defence.
Teens in AI Founder and CEO, Elena Sinel, adds: “For young people today, the online world is where they learn, connect, and create – and it must be a place where they feel safe. As AI rapidly reshapes how we live and work, cyber security has become more than a technical discipline; it is a life skill and a societal need. By working with Sage to design these courses, we are equipping teens not only to protect themselves and their communities but also to grow into the leaders who will build a safer, more responsible AI-powered future for us all.“
‘Cyber Defence: Threat Detection to Response’ course outline:
This hands-on course gives teens a strong foundation in cyber defence, from understanding the seven stages of a cyber-attack to investigating phishing attempts and using Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT). Learners will develop practical skills to recognise threats, analyse phishing emails, and apply automation tools to strengthen their defence strategies, while exploring how OSINT and automation work together to enhance cyber security. With interactive chapters, challenges, and quizzes, the course is designed to keep learning engaging and accessible. It takes just over three hours to complete, is 100% online, and self-paced – making it easy to finish within a week.
