Our programme uses a set of pre-assigned real-life challenges inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, known as SDGs for short. The assigned SDG themes of the campaign will be announced within your local hack and you will get to pick one with your team. Together, you will come up with an idea to solve the chosen SDG. You will be given all the relevant tools to do so throughout the programme.

At the end of the local hackathon, you will have a local Demo Day to pitch your projects to local judges and demonstrate how you have applied the elements such as coding, design and ethics considerations into your team project. A winner from your local hack will then be chosen.

Teams from each Local Demo Day will have their projects assessed by an expert panel of judges. The top 3 projects of each Local Demo Day will be entered into the Global Judging pool and invited to pitch at our Global Demo Day to senior experts with a global audience.
