4. Principles

4.1 Fair Access: Recruitment, admissions, and participation decisions will be made based on merit and ability, free from bias.

4.2 Respect and Dignity: Everyone has the right to work, learn, and collaborate in an environment free from discrimination, bullying, or harassment.

4.3 Inclusion: Programmes will be designed to be accessible, with reasonable adjustments made for participants with additional needs.

4.4 Accountability: Any concerns relating to equality will be taken seriously, investigated, and addressed.

5. Responsibilities

5.1 Leadership: Ensure the implementation, monitoring, and review of this policy.

5.2 Staff and Mentors: Promote inclusive practices and challenge discriminatory behaviour.

5.3 Participants: Respect diversity and report inappropriate behaviour.

6. Monitoring and Review

6.1 An annual review will be carried out by the Teens in AI leadership team.

6.2 Data on participation and access will be monitored to identify patterns and remove barriers.

6.3 Feedback from participants and stakeholders will inform improvements.
