Teens in Action is an online forum event where you can join to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on various topics. Each month, we invite expert speakers who specialise in AI, ethics, and social impact topics.
During this programme, teens from around the world will participate in local techathons. Teams will develop and pitch a project that tackles one of the assigned United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The best projects are selected from each local techathon and entered into the Global Judging pool to determine the overall winners.
Teens in Action is designed for teenagers aged 13–18. Parents, guardians, and educators are also welcome to attend or support young people joining.
Teens in Action is a recurring event with monthly sessions. Each session features a new speaker and topic to spark discussion and help young people explore how AI is shaping the world.
All you need is internet access with a computer or smartphone. The forum is hosted via Zoom, a popular video conferencing platform. Prior to each session, we’ll send you a Zoom link to join the event. Simply click the link at the scheduled time to join us.
No. You do not need any prior knowledge of AI. The sessions are designed to be accessible, with clear explanations and time for questions.
Each session typically lasts around 60 minutes, including time for moderated Q&A.
Yes. You can submit questions during the session. Questions are moderated to keep the conversation respectful, safe, and on-topic.
