Teens in AI has been recognised by The Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s Award as an Approved Activity Provider, enabling young people across the UK to complete the Skills section of their Award through trusted, high-quality AI education programmes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

18<\/strong>\u00a0February 2026, London, UK<\/b> \u2013 Teens in AI is proud to announce that they are now an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for the Skills section of The Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s Award (DofE). Teens in AI\u2019s AI Adventures online, self-paced courses are designed for young people aged 14\u201324 and can now count towards a young person\u2019s Bronze, Silver, or Gold Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s Award.<\/p>\n

Teens in AI\u2019s AI Adventures online, self-paced courses give young people of all backgrounds the chance to develop practical skills in AI, technology, and digital innovation. Participants build technical understanding alongside critical thinking, problem-solving, ethical awareness, and confidence in using technology responsibly. Teens in AI\u2019s mission is to prepare young people for an AI-enabled future by providing accessible education that supports personal development, broadens career aspirations, and allows them to gain recognised accreditation as part of their Bronze, Silver, and Gold DofE Awards.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To do their DofE, young people aged 14-24 choose activities in four sections:<\/strong> improving a Physical and Skills activity, Volunteering for a cause of their choice, and completing a demanding Expedition. Along the way they have fun, grow in resilience and self-belief, discover new talents and passions, and learn practical skills to help them in future \u2013 while working towards a highly respected Award.<\/p>\n

More young people than ever started their Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s Award in 2024-25 \u2013 with half a million actively participating, with more schools, community organisations and prisons running the DofE.<\/p>\n

Sophie Keaveney, Senior Operations Manager, The Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s Award,<\/b> said: \u201cWe are delighted that Teens in AI is now an Approved Activity Provider for The Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s Award, opening the door to more fantastic opportunities for young people to gain new skills that set them up for the future. We know that many of our DofE participants are passionate about technology and digital innovation and it\u2019s brilliant that they will have the chance to follow this passion through their DofE Award.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

The DofE charity is working to reach one million young people by the end of 2026. It has launched ambitious projects to fund schools and community organisations in the UK\u2019s most deprived areas to start offering the DofE, and to support more young people with additional needs and disabilities to achieve their DofE Awards.
